The APL® Concours high performance basketball shoe, combines a luxurious upper, inspired by the dramatic quilted interiors of the world’s best supercars, with the performance of the revolutionary APL® patent-pending Load 'N Launch™ technology designed to instantly increase vertical leap. With its unique construction, the Concours shoe fits completely true-to-size and provides the secure feeling of a shoe that is designed to perform at the highest level of competition.
Every pair of APL Concours shoes includes the unique APL Laces Kit as a free gift with purchase. In addition to the black laces that come with the shoe, the kit includes 6 sets of supercar-inspired colored laces from royal blue, purple, APL® green, neon pink, teal and yellow, to create 7 different looks in a single shoe. Consumers can dramatically change the look of the Concours depending upon which of the 7 accent color laces they use.
The Concours name was derived from the world-famous Concours D'Elegance auto show in Pebble Beach, California where the most exotic cars in the world are displayed. The shoe’s upper takes inspiration directly from the interior of the Bentley Brooklands while the visible Load ‘N Launch™ outsole technology was inspired by the exposed engine compartment of the Bugatti Veyron.The use of high quality leather, suede and the signature quilted pattern helps distinguish these world-class automobiles and this is emulated the design in the upper of the APL Concours basketball shoes.

The upper materials are made of the finest quilted leather and suede, microfiber mesh and special anti-microbial linings to keep the foot comfortable and performing at the highest level throughout extended periods of play. The APL Concours is for serious basketball players who want to look great and perform at the highest level on the court. High-density collar padding on the interior is designed to maximize comfort while providing for the use of ankle braces. The patent-pending Load ‘N Launch™ technology is implanted in a cavity in the forefoot of the basketball shoe and is designed to provide an instant improvement in vertical leap.* The device works in conjunction with the high-performance materials of the outsole, midsole, insole and sock liner to create a performance experience unlike any other basketball shoe.
