The TechLoom Takeoff propels your game to new heights with Load ‘N Launch® Carbon 10 technology. Featuring a full-length carbon fiber plate that acts as a springboard to efficiently transfer energy with every step. Beneath the carbon plate sits a larger device with 10, larger coil springs strategically positioned throughout the forefoot. Each piece is tuned to work in conjunction with one another to provide ultimate energy return and enhanced elevation. A newly developed APL FutureFoam™ midsole that is lighter and provides more rebound encases the device to offer a soft and responsive cushioning to help you land softly. The outsole features a high traction clear rubber compound that puts the entire Load ‘N Launch® Carbon 10 device on display. To further reduce weight, the heel area of the outsole is carved out exposing the carbon fiber plate.

The upper of the TechLoom Takeoff is all about balance. A single layer, non-stretch TechLoom bootie and tongue is reinforced by engineered AeroLux™ overlays for exceptional lightweight breathability. The eyerow consists of articulated wings that are chiseled out to further reduce weight. The sculpted heel structure allows your ankle to move freely during forward motion while still providing support and stability for those quick cuts. Pushing performance to the limits, both on the ground and in the sky, the TechLoom Takeoff will take your game to the next level.

  1. Load ‘N Launch® Carbon 10 uses a full-length carbon fiber plate and ten large coil springs to instantly increase vertical leap.
  2. APL FutureFoam midsole is lightweight and responsive, providing great cushioning and energy return.
  3. Clear Rubber outsole and carved midsole fully display the internal technology.
  4. Single piece TechLoom bootie and tongue provide a breathable and lightweight fit while keeping you centered on the footbed to maximize efficiency.
  5. Reinforced AeroLux overlays combine articulated support wings with a chiseled heel structure that moves with your ankle while still offering stability.
  6. Dual-compound sockliner is specifically designed to work in conjunction with the Load ‘N Launch® Carbon 10 technology.

      "I bought the APL concept 3s like 6 years ago, they’ve lasted me that long and are an awesome shoe. I assumed these would be like the concept 3 but better? As they are $200 more. Pretty average. Feet don’t feel secure, sizing seems to be abit longer than normal. Sole is very hard which is understandable due to the plate, but feels like feet are hanging over the plate abit. $500 Aussie dollars for the concept 3s, which though they felt like a moon boot, were also super comfy and secure right from the get go. $750 Aussie dollars for tech loom takeoffs- nowhere near as good as the concept 3s. Alotta money for this level of uncertainty. But is what it is"
